Former Portland State center Dalton Jasso commits to the Portland Boltz

Finding a true center is never easy. But having one makes life easier for everyone around him. They must not only possess the skills to execute their assignments but also should have the intelligence to lead, orchestrate and make adjustments on the fly.

“I’ve had a couple really good centers and some that were not very good at all,” Boltz coach Aaron Fentress said. “The difference a good one can make along the entire line is tremendous. We expect Dalton to have that type of impact.”

Jasso, who just concluded playing four years at Portland State, has committed to join the Boltz. He will help the team continue its trend of signing former college linemen to help power the running game and protect quarterback Russell Schneider.

“We want to have the premiere offensive line in the PDFL and that starts with having a strong presence in the middle,”Boltz offensive line coach Josh Tschirgi said. “I’m happy to have Dalton, who is fresh out of a strong college program, bring his valuable experience to our squad.” READ MORE
