The Professional Developmental Football League Owners Meeting 2012

Updated: October 22, 2012

Great things come of small beginnings.  The seed in time will grow into a tree.  And ideas manifest to reality.  This past Saturday was the first conference held by the Professional Developmental Football League to further establish partnerships, rules and regulations, and the framework for the future. Eleven different franchise teams’ representatives from across America came to the sports conference to hash out how best to empower and enhance the careers of their players. The Professional Developmental Football League (PDFL) is as the name suggests a league that takes college talent, second stringers, and the rest of the best that due to either lack of opportunity or bad timing didn’t get picked up for the NFL or international teams.

This is a fantastic idea for the players because many of them were picked up for college teams and are now proud productive members of society that still have that itch and drive to play on the ol’e gridiron.  This PDFL Sports Conference is the first major step needed to legitimize this franchise from others that have good intentions but have no rules or plans set in place to protect their players, coaches, and the integrity of the game.
